Mobile Botox at home can be a safe, comfortable option when it is performed by a licensed medical provider who follows the same standards used in a clinic. With Aurela Aesthetics, every in-home Botox appointment in Orange County is performed by Courtney Rotz, a double board-certified nurse practitioner, after a pre-treatment consultation and good-faith exam.

If you have never had a med spa come to you, here is exactly how the visit unfolds, from booking to aftercare.

Is in-home Botox safe?

The safety of Botox depends far more on who is injecting and how carefully they work than on the room you are sitting in. A safe in-home appointment includes a licensed provider, a review of your health history and medications, authentic medical-grade product, single-use sterile supplies, and a clean, well-lit setup.

Botox is not right for everyone. People who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have certain neuromuscular conditions, or have an infection at the injection site are generally not candidates. That is why the consultation comes first. If something in your history raises a question, your nurse practitioner may recommend waiting or checking with your doctor before treatment.

Who performs mobile Botox with Aurela?

Every appointment is performed by Courtney Rotz, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC. Courtney has 23 years of nursing experience. She began in the Pediatric ICU at Johns Hopkins, went on to work as a cardiology nurse practitioner in interventional and outpatient settings, and treated veins with laser and sclerotherapy before focusing on aesthetics. You can read more about her background on our about page.

That clinical foundation shows up in the details: careful assessment, conservative dosing when it makes sense, and clear guidance on what to expect.

How do you book an in-home Botox appointment?

You can book online or call 949-649-8852. You will share your address, the treatment you are interested in, and a few windows that work for you. Current availability is Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5 to 8 PM, Wednesday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Location and timing are confirmed before your visit.

Aurela travels throughout Orange County with no travel fee, including Ladera Ranch, Irvine, and the other cities listed on our areas we serve page. Appointments in Los Angeles County or San Diego County carry a $100 travel surcharge.

What space do you need at home?

Very little. Most clients are surprised by how simple the setup is. Ideally, you will have:

  • A chair with a back, like a dining chair, where you can sit upright comfortably
  • Good lighting, such as natural light near a window or a bright kitchen
  • A clean, flat surface, like a counter or table, for supplies
  • A little quiet, so you can talk through your goals without distractions

Courtney brings everything else, including medical-grade product, sterile supplies, and cleansing materials. Your home office, a hotel suite, or a corner of your workplace works just as well.

What happens during the consultation?

Before any treatment, Courtney reviews your health history, current medications and supplements, allergies, and any previous injectable treatments. Then she looks at how your face moves. You will be asked to frown, raise your brows, and smile so she can see which muscles are creating your lines.

From there, you talk about goals. Do you want a soft, natural refresh or a smoother look? Do you have a big event coming up? Your plan, including the number of units, is set together. Botox at Aurela is $16 per unit with customized dosing, so you know your total before you begin. For a closer look at pricing, see our Orange County Botox cost guide.

What does the treatment itself feel like?

After your skin is cleansed, Courtney places a series of small injections with a very fine needle. Most people describe the sensation as a quick pinch, and the injections themselves usually take only a few minutes. Comfort varies from person to person, so let her know if you would like a pause.

You may notice small bumps at the injection sites that typically settle within a short time. Minor redness or a small bruise is possible. Many clients go right back to their evening, school pickup, or next meeting.

How should you care for your skin after mobile Botox?

Aftercare is simple, and following it helps the product stay where it was placed:

  • Stay upright for about four hours after treatment.
  • Avoid rubbing, massaging, or pressing on the treated areas for the rest of the day.
  • Skip strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot yoga for the rest of the day.
  • Limit alcohol around your appointment, since it may increase the chance of bruising.
  • Hold off on facials, facial massage, or other skin treatments for about two weeks unless your provider says otherwise.

Results typically start to show within a few days and settle over about two weeks. Results vary, and they gradually fade over a few months, which is why many clients plan their next visit ahead of time.

Can you pair Botox with another treatment at home?

Yes. A popular option is the Tox Booster, which combines Botox with a VI Peel in the same visit for your Botox total plus $200. Your nurse practitioner will confirm whether combining treatments makes sense for your skin. You can also learn more about mobile Botox in Orange County.
