Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA) is an FDA-approved neurotoxin used to temporarily soften dynamic expression lines, such as frown lines between the brows. It works the same way as Botox, relaxing the specific muscles that create lines when you frown, squint or raise your brows.
Xeomin is sometimes called a “naked” neurotoxin because it is purified to contain only the active ingredient, without the accessory proteins found in some other toxins. Many clients choose it as a lower-cost alternative to Botox, and it is offered at Aurela for $12 per unit.
Courtney Rotz, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC begins every visit with a good-faith exam and a conversation about your goals, then helps you decide whether Xeomin or Botox is the better fit. Results vary from person to person.
